Kali skull hand carved bone mala necklace. 108 hand carved skull beads and one guru bead. Each bead is approximately 6mm x 12mm. The necklace mala is 50 inches (127 cm) long and ends with one guru bead and a red, maroon or rust cotton tassel.
Bone bead malas are often used for meditation by Buddhist to remind them of the impermanence of our body's time on earth.
Impermanence, also called Anicca or Anitya, is one of the essential doctrines and a part of three marks of existence in Buddhism. The doctrine asserts that all of conditioned existence, without exception, is "transient, evanescent, inconstant".
