Bhaktamal is a poem in the Braja language that gives short biographies of more than two-hundred Bhaktas (Krishna devotees). It was written by Guru Nabha Dass ji (Devanāgarī: भक्तमाल, IAST: Bhaktamāla) (c. 1585), and was composed by Nabhadas (a saint belonging to the tradition of Ramananda). Though considered a hagiography by some, the work recounts no miraculous events and is widely believed to be an unbiased account of Bhaktas across all sectarian paths. The Bhaktamal gives the earliest reliable account of many Krishna devotees and hence is considered an important source for literary and devotional history of northern India. This book, which describes stories of Krishna devotees, it is an authorized scripture written by Nabha ji
Bhagavad-Gita is the essence of Vedic Literature and a complete guide to practical life. It provides “all that is needed to raise the consciousness of man to the highest possible level.”
What makes the Bhagavad Gita a practical psychology of transformation is that it offers us the tools to connect with our deepest intangible essence and learn to participate in the battle of life with right knowledge. The Bhagavad Gita is second only to Patanjali's Yoga Sutras as a guide to the Yogi life.
